Emilie and Adam met in the eighth grade and were friends all through high school and college, despite being at separate schools. It was after Adam graduated college that the two of them finally broke the friend zone!

My favorite things about Adam are his sense of adventure, positivity, and the warmth he brings into each and every day. Life with him is spontaneous and full of joy. There’s not a day that goes by where he doesn’t make me smile.

My favorite things about Emilie are her caring heart, her beautiful smile, her bravery, her curiosity, and her sweetness.

Emilie knew Adam was the one when she couldn’t picture her life without him.

I realized I didn’t want to live my life without my best friend by my side. The relationship we built over many years had become so strong and special that I could not imagine my life without him!

Adam’s proposal was a complete surprise to Emilie while they were backpacking along a section of the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin one weekend.

When we stopped to set up camp as the sun was setting he got down on one knee and proposed. We both share a deep love for the outdoors so the whole moment was absolutely perfect!

The first time we walked into The Haight, we knew it had the vibes we were looking for. The space is so industrial and unique. It fit our wedding vision completely!

If Emilie had to pick one favorite moment, it would be their choice to do a first look.

It allowed us to have a special moment together without the pressure of everyone watching. It was a moment I’ll remember forever!

Emilie’s advice to newly engaged couples is to not sweat the small stuff. With all the details that go into wedding planning, it becomes easy to get stressed about small things that won’t really matter in the end.

Our officiant forgot our last name during our ceremony! It was actually pretty funny and a good reminder that at the end of the day you can’t control everything. It was the best day of our lives regardless of everything that could have happened because we’re together forever!
