THE MEETING

Farhad and Allison met in nursing school in January 2018.
After being friends for a bit, we finally got together around summer 2019 and knew immediately we would get married one day.
THE MOMENT
Farhad said that we would eventually get married on the first day we met. Naturally, I thought that he was absolutely insane, but here we are married just a few years later!
THE SONGS
Farhad and I always say we have so many songs together! “River” by Leon Bridges was our first dance song at our wedding and “Sleep on the Floor” by the Lumineers was our last dance song, so those two definitely hold a special place in our hearts!

THE I LOVE YOU
Farhad said I love you first and we weren’t even dating yet! He was so sure from the beginning that we were meant to be together.
THE WEDDING DAY

Allison & Farhad celebrated their wedding with us on November 20, 2021.

Farhad and I both say that our wedding was our “best day ever” (so far at least!), so it is definitely hard to pick just one favorite moment. Top two moments I would have to say were our first look (can’t recommend these enough to other couples!) and our first dance.

Overall, though, just being able to share our best day with our favorite people was so incredibly special.
THE VENUE
Living about an hour from the Haight, we just found it by chance on theKnot.com. We saw three other wedding venues, but when Farhad and I pulled up to the Haight before we even got out of the car I said to him “Forget the other places, this is our wedding venue”. I just had a feeling. Then, of course, we walked inside and were greeted by the most welcoming staff and beautiful venue, and we were really sold!

THE ADVICE
There are so many different things I could say! My two biggest pieces of advice though would be to have a private last dance and to take a special moment during the night to just sit and enjoy the moment. Our last dance was so special and a great way to end the evening just the two of us. During dinner, I took a moment to just sit and look around the room at Farhad and all of our loved ones and just really feel the moment. I can’t explain how lucky and blessed I felt at that moment. I would highly recommend doing both of those!
THE SHOUT OUTS
So many shout outs! Of course, thank you to The Haight for providing the most amazing space and staff to make our day truly special.

To Candace Sims, our photographer, for capturing the essence of Farhad and I, and for capturing memories that truly mean the world to us. Candace is such a kindhearted and caring individual, and I truly felt she was more like family at our wedding than just a vendor.

To Rob Monastero for being the absolute best DJ we could have asked for! Rob is a funny, charismatic individual who somehow from being provided with only a short list of “must plays” was able to essentially play both Farhad and my personal Spotify accounts. Everyone at the wedding raved about him, and all of our friends with upcoming weddings wanted his information. We honestly loved all of our vendors and feel like all made our wedding so special!
THE ATTIRE
Allison got her wedding dress from Weddings 826, and was designed by Justin Alexander.

Farhad’s suit was from Macy’s. His infamous red velvet panther shoes were from Aldo.
