Eric and Jen first met in the Fall of 2016 during their high school photography class all because of a last minute change to Jen’s schedule.
I guess you could say it was destiny.
While Jen was shy, Eric was the class clown. She eventually started helping him develop his photos and the two got to know each other better. That winter, they went on their first date and then began dating.
Jen loves so many things about Eric including his generosity, how he cares for others, and his sense of humor.
He is the type of guy that would give you the shirt off of his back, drive three hours to help you for five minutes, and make you laugh at any point in the day. There just aren’t people like Eric left in this world anymore.
Eric thinks just as highly of Jen.
I love how hard working and dedicated Jen is. She is my biggest support system and makes me be a better person. My career choice was a long a dream of mine and Jen stayed by my side and helped support me along the way, which mean the world to me. We also just click and always have a lot of fun together.
Jen can’t pinpoint an exact moment where she knew that Eric was the one but it was throughout so many ups and downs, that she knew he had so many amazing qualities the couldn’t be overlooked.
As we got older, I knew he would make an amazing husband and just knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.
When it came time to choose a venue to celebrate their big day, Jen wanted a non-traditional space.
The Haight is so unique, you cannot deny that the space is beautiful and will leave a lasting impression on anyone that steps foot in there. I felt like I didn’t need to put a lot into the space like you have to with traditional banquet halls. I was nervous to book a venue where you needed to book vendors, but honestly it was the better option. Briana was so helpful along the way and we truly had a one of the kind wedding.
Jen’s favorite part of the wedding was Eric seeing her for the first time when she started walking down the aisle.
We didn’t do a first look and I was really happy that we got to share that moment with everyone at the wedding. Our wedding officiant, Rob Ruisz, knocked it out of the park with our ceremony and, to us, that was the most perfect part—being able to laugh during our ceremony and share our vows that we wrote ourselves. I also surprised Eric with a special visit from our dog Duncan that made the day complete.
Jen’s advice for newly engaged couples is to not stress about the small things.
You can get so consumed on minor details that at the end of the day do not matter. The day is between you and your spouse everything will turn out perfect on your wedding day and if it doesn’t, you won’t even notice it. Also take a few minutes to be alone with your spouse and just let the day soak in.
