Kayla & Kyle 06.03.17

Kayla and Kyle first met in high school where they had mutual friends and would occasionally hang out. The two went their separate ways for college, but reconnected the summer before Kayla went into her senior year.

Kayla first knew that Kyle was the ONE when he took her to her first country concert—Jason Aldean.

After that date I knew I was going to marry him. I fell in love with him that day.

Kayla has a countless number of favorite things about Kyle. At the top of the list is his sense of humor and laugh.

I love how passionate he is when it comes to hobbies or just having a good time. He simply keeps life fun and interesting, which leaves us rarely bored, and always looking forward to new hang out spots or adventures! He compliments me on a daily basis and makes me really feel supported and loved.

He loves my cooking and my curves. He loves how caring and nurturing I am and my strong work ethic.

On the day of the big proposal, Kyle and Kayla were playing nine holes of golf at Arrowhead Golf Club. On the ninth hole, which has a beautiful view of the clubhouse, they played “closest to the pin.”

After my shot, I turned around and he was on one knee. The two guys we were paired with knew about it and we had an audience cheering from the clubhouse! We took a victory lap in the golf cart and celebrated with champagne in the Arrowhead restaurant after. The day ended with a surprise gathering of friends and family at my parent’s house!

When it came time to search for a place to celebrate their wedding day, Kayla wanted a unique venue.

I fell inlove with the space after seeing a few others. The Haight was the one and only place that made me cry thinking about our day…and there was no convinving me to have it elsewhere after that emotional attachment.

The best part of the wedding day for Kayla was the first dance.

It was our moment together where I think I really realized “holy s*** this handsome man is my forever, I am so incredibly lucky.”

Kayla’s advice for newly engaged couples is to book your venue first and foremost.

Also, hire a planner/coordinator the day of, because Kyle and I really didn’t have to worry about anything with Ashley Nicole Events handling our big day!!
