Elizabeth & Mark 08.11.17

It was December 2015 when Mark and Elizabeth first met volunteering for the Adopt A Family program with St. Vincent de Paul at St. Mary Catholic Church in Elgin.

Elizabeth knew Mark was the one at this event when he volunteered to deliver the presents for the program—actions like this only added to her favorite things about him.

He is kind, loving, and generous with his time and talents and he enjoys going on adventures!

Elizabeth is a very caring person. She is strong in her convictions, is very smart, loves to read and go to the library, and has an adventurous spirit. – Mark on Elizabeth

Mark proposed to Elizabeth on St. Patrick’s Day with an emerald engagement ring that he had custom made in Ireland!

The two of them appreciate historical buildings for their rich character and rich history so choosing The Haight for their reception was pretty easy.

It was hard to narrow down a specific part of the day that was Elizabeth’s favorite.

So many favorite parts…. Exchanging of the vows, riding in the classic 1940 Cadillac limo and celebrating with family and friends at the reception.

Elizabeth and Mark’s advice for newly engaged couples is to keep your sense of humor and don’t sweat the small stuff!

“The original dove cake toppers we ordered from Etsy were so itsy bitsy the only cake they would have been right for would have been a cupcake.  Always verify dimensions! :)”

Congratulations, Elizabeth and Mark!
