Caitlin and Ross first met online through Facebook when she came up on his newsfeed as someone he might know. Ross asked to be her friend and tried to smoothly play it off like he thought they had met. The two immediately connected and messaged each other for 8 straight hours that first day!
The things they love about one another are very similar which makes them the perfect match! Ross loves Caitlin’s devotion to her faith, her love for other people and how much she makes him laugh. She loves his unwavering faith and how much he loves and serves others. Let’s not forget to mention his smarts!
The proposal came as a surprise to Caitlin! Ross took her to a restaurant where they had shared many memories throughout their relationship. Caitlin excused herself to use the restroom and when she came back, Ross handed her a card. While she was reading it, she noticed that the waiter was taking pictures of the two of them. She looked up at Ross and he got down on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage. Caitlin immediately said yes! After dinner, he took her to more meaningful places. At each stop, Ross had an individual card for her to read. He then arranged for friends and family to surprise Caitlin at the last stop—it was the perfect evening!
When it came time to find a venue for their wedding, Caitlin and Ross fell in love with The Haight! It was unique and unlike any place they had been to and knew it was perfect the moment they walked in.
The only thing it was missing was a statement piece for the ceremony space, and Caitlin found the perfect one at a local antique store. She brought a picture of a beautiful antique chandelier in for us to look at and we LOVED it! That chandelier now hangs in our space thanks to Caitlin and Ross!
For Caitlin, the wedding day was an absolute dream! Out of the many special moments of the day, the most special came down to a tie. She loved the first look! She also loved when the two snuck away between the ceremony and reception for some time alone as newlyweds! They snuck away after their “send-off.” To make sure even the kids were involved Ross and Caitlin had their sparkler send-off after the ceremony at the start of cocktail hour!
The whole day was incredibly special for Caitlin and Ross. All the people that came to stand with them on such an important day meant the world to them. They were (and still are) blown away by all the love and support they were shown from family and friends!
When we asked if Caitlin had any advice for newly engaged couples just starting to plan, she said, “Don’t sweat the small stuff!” She also said don’t forget what the main point of the day is.
“Marrying the one you love is all that matters!”
