Samantha & Alex 10.9.16

Alex and Samantha met on memorial Day in 2015.  It wasn’t until November when Alex surprised everyone by remembering Samantha’s name that they felt an instant connection!  He has never been good with names, but Samantha made an impression on him!
On June 4, 2016, six months after they began dating, Alex planned a romantic day for the two of them.  He took her to a forest preserve where they went on a beautiful walk that ended when he got down on one knee in front of a picture perfect lake.  Samantha did not hesitate to say yes to his proposal!  Afterwards, they headed to his parent’s house to share the good news and Samantha was surprised again with a huge party of their closest family and friends!
Samantha’s favorite part of the day was reading her vows in front of everyone (before the wedding this is what made her the most nervous!).  She said with the dim lights, wood floors, and brick walls she stood out in her white dress and felt like a princess!

What truly made the day special is the love Samantha and Alex felt from their “tribe,” they showed up in a big way!  Dropping off decorations, putting together centerpieces, keeping the bride and groom happy, and helping with all the small details!

Samantha also added on top of her tribe, “The people at The Haight were so accommodating and patient with me when I didn’t have it all together!”  We are always happy to help!

“My best advice for newly engaged couples…make lists, keep organized, limit your Pinterest intake.   Remember to plan the wedding that you want and not what you think everyone else would want…And don’t forget to keep dating your fiance.  Every time we were together we realized we only talked wedding and finally we decided we would take a date night and not talk about anything wedding”. -Samantha
