Amanda & Tom 11.19.16

Amanda and Tom met the old-fashioned way…online!  After their first few dates they realized they had found something special.
This past summer for Tom’s 40th birthday Amanda threw him a party with all of their friends and family.  Tom gathered everyone around and began to thank them for coming.  He then turned to Amanda to thank her for throwing the party and before she realized what was happening he was down on one knee in front of everyone they knew!  With a shaking voice (we would sound the same) he pulled out a ring and asked Amanda to spend the next 40 years with him as his wife.  She said yes, just before a huge thunderstorm crashed the party, but it didn’t dampen their celebration!
Amanda first saw pictures of The Haight on a friend’s Facebook page.  Once she saw the pictures she knew it was where she wanted to get married.  She loved the charm and character of the building, there was just one problem, it was booked.  Lucky for Amanda there was a cancelation the same day she inquired.  That cancelation meant she had 4 months to plan a wedding!
At first having four months was scary but they slowly realized it was a blessing in disguise.  They didn’t have time to get caught up in the small things.  They had to be quick with decisions and there couldn’t be any procrastinating!
Amanda and Tom’s favorite part of the day was their first look.  They had time together before all of their guests arrived.  They got to have a few special moments before hundreds of eyes were on them for the rest of the evening!  They loved being able to take pictures in the ceremony space before anyone else got to see it!
