Earlier that week, Brittany had complained to Chad that he was never romantic enough. To make up for it, Chad replied that they would go on a date night that Thursday– and he would plan the entire thing. That Thursday as they were leaving, Chad said that night would be a recreation of their first date.
Dinner at Preservation Bread and Wine Company in Geneva, IL was the first stop. The meals were amazing, but everything came out faster than expected. Chad, meanwhile, was secretly texting his family to keep things moving. After dinner, Chad and Brittany went to All Chocolate Kitchen in downtown Geneva. Chad ordered a creme brûlée, Brittany’s favorite.
This time, the dessert was made a little different. There was a chocolate heart on the dish with Brittany’s engagement ring. She didn’t even notice the ring until Chad got down on one knee. After saying “yes” and sharing a moment, Chad’s parents, sister, brother-in law, and two nephews came in and celebrated.
